The Lounge Edition is a deck by Jetsetter Playing Cards, the brand Paul Ruccio founded in 2015 in Massachusetts, inspired by old casino and airline decks. This is the marked version, with the edition's standard back, in the Tarmac Black colour (the black of runway asphalt), and it was the brand's first marked deck.

Design

The back is a classic casino design, but shifted off-centre, an unusual touch that pays tribute to airport runways. The faces are the standard ones, recoloured to match the deck's palette, and the jokers imitate a boarding pass.

Marked deck

Hidden in the back design is a marking system that reveals the suit and value of each card at a quick glance, without a spectator noticing. It is a common tool in card magic and mentalism.

Manufacturing

The cards have a traditional cut, which makes shuffles such as the faro (interlacing the two halves of the deck exactly) or the face-down weave easier. The tuck box is made of a durable synthetic material, with clear spot UV varnish (a glossy layer applied only to areas of the design) and silver foil details.
