Cookie policy
Which cookies thejokerhouse.com uses, what each one is for, how long they last, who installs them and how to accept them, reject them or change your decision at any time.
This page explains which cookies we use on thejokerhouse.com, what each one is for, how long they stay on your device, who installs them and how you can accept them, reject them or change your mind whenever you like. It is written to be understood without any technical knowledge.
Who the controller is
The owner of this site and controller of the processing is Site Factory Digital Agency S.L., with Spanish tax number (CIF) B88047444 and registered address at Calle Velero 26, 3.º A, 28220 Majadahonda (Madrid), España. For anything related to this policy you can use the contact form.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file that a website saves in your browser when you visit it. It is used to remember information between pages or between visits: that you have logged in, what you have in your basket, which language you want to see the shop in, or whether you have already told us which cookies you accept.
Alongside cookies we use other equivalent browser storage technologies, such as localStorage. For the purposes of this policy we treat them exactly like cookies, because they do the same job and are subject to the same rules.
Applicable legal framework
The use of cookies is governed by article 22.2 of Spanish Act 34/2002 on Information Society Services (LSSI-CE) and by Regulation (EU) 2016/679, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), together with Spanish Organic Act 3/2018 on the Protection of Personal Data and the guarantee of digital rights.
Two rules follow from that framework, and we apply both:
- Cookies that are strictly necessary for the website to work do not require your consent, because without them the site could not provide the service you have asked for.
- All the others — analytics, personalisation and advertising — are only installed if you accept them. Rejecting them is just as easy as accepting them, and you can change your decision at any time.
Strictly necessary cookies
They let you browse the shop and use its basic features. Without them you could not stay logged in, keep your basket or complete an order. They do not require consent and you cannot switch them off from our panel, although you can from your browser, accepting that the shop will then stop working properly.
| Cookie | Who installs it | What it is for | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| PHPSESSID | The Joker House | Identifies your session on the server while you browse | Session |
| PrestaShop-* | The Joker House | Stores the basket, the language, the currency and your customer session | 480 hours |
| PrestaShop-lsc | The Joker House | Tells a logged-in visitor from an anonymous one so that the right version of each page is served | Session |
| jhConsent | The Joker House | Remembers which cookies you have accepted or rejected, so we do not ask you again | 12 months |
| __ps_checkoutPayPalSdkInstance_storage__ | PayPal | Allows the payment gateway to work during the purchase | Session |
Analytics cookies
They tell us how many people visit the shop, which pages they look at, how long they stay and where they arrive from. We use them to understand what works and what does not, and to improve the catalogue and the navigation. The information is handled in aggregate form: it is of no use to us for identifying you personally. They are only installed if you accept them.

| Metricool measurement | Metricool | Counts visits and traffic sources for the marketing reports | As set by the provider |
Advertising and social media cookies
They let us measure the results of our campaigns and show you more relevant content on third-party platforms. They are only installed if you accept them.
| Cookie | Who installs it | What it is for | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _pin_unauth | Groups the actions of unidentified visitors in order to measure conversions | 1 year | |
| _pinterest_ct_ua | Measures the results of the campaigns on Pinterest | 1 year | |

Who else receives this data
Analytics and advertising cookies are installed by external providers that act as controllers or processors of their own processing. They are the following, and each one has its own policy, which we recommend you read:
- Google Ireland Limited (Google Analytics and Google Ads) — Google privacy policy
- Microsoft Corporation (Clarity) — Microsoft privacy statement
- Pinterest Europe Ltd. — Pinterest privacy policy
- Metricool Software S.L. — Metricool privacy policy
- PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A. — PayPal privacy policy
Transfers outside the European Union
Some of these providers process data in the United States. Those transfers are covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, approved by the European Commission in its adequacy decision of 10 July 2023, or else by the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission where the provider has not certified under that framework. If you reject analytics and advertising cookies, none of these transfers takes place.
How to accept, reject or change your decision
The first time you come in we show you a notice with three options: accept all, reject all or customise category by category. No cookie other than the strictly necessary ones is installed before you choose.
Your decision is stored for 12 months. Once that period is over we will ask you again. You can change it sooner whenever you like:
Open the cookie preferences panel
You will also find the “Manage cookies” link in the footer of every page of the shop.
How to delete them from your browser
Whatever you choose here, you can view, block and delete cookies from your browser settings. These are the instructions for the most common ones:
If you delete cookies from your browser you will also delete the one that stores your preferences, so the next time you come in we will ask you again.
What happens if you reject them
The shop works normally: you can browse, search, add products to the basket and buy. The only thing that happens is that we stop measuring your visit and we will not be able to attribute a purchase to the campaign that brought it about. Strictly necessary cookies stay in place because without them the site could not work.
Your rights
You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability, and withdraw your consent at any time, through the contact form. Withdrawing your consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out before you withdrew it.
If you believe that we have not dealt with your request properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es), which is the supervisory authority of the controller, or with the supervisory authority of the country where you live.
Updates to this policy
We review this page whenever the tools we use or the applicable rules change. If the change affects cookies that require consent, we will ask you again. Last updated: September 2026.
