The Pyraminx is a puzzle shaped like a tetrahedron (4 triangular faces) and is an official WCA event. It is one of the events with the lowest average times: there are few possible cases and many can be solved almost at a glance. That makes it a natural next puzzle beyond the 3x3, and also a good gift for people getting into the world of the cube for the first time.

Current Pyraminx models measure roughly 90 to 100 mm on each edge. Magnetic versions give you more control on the flips and are the usual pick in competition; non-magnetic beginner ones are affordable and valid for learning. There are also variants like the Master Pyraminx (the tetrahedral equivalent of a 4x4) or the Pyraminx Duo with fewer pieces, aimed at collecting or very soft introductions.
