Prequel Classic Edition is a Room One Cards deck that pays tribute to the golden age of American animation. It draws on the style of Disney and Warner Bros. shorts, and even on video games that revive it, such as Cuphead: carefree characters, exaggerated expressions and colours reminiscent of hand-drawn cartoons. The series is split into two worlds: Prequel, cheerful and colourful, and Sequel, its dark counterpart.

Design

The star is a friendly dog who wanders through a world of harmony and good humour. The court cards show him enjoying small pleasures, such as a drink or a bunch of flowers. The number cards place the pips (the suit symbols) in unusual positions and replace the suits with four motifs: stars, daisies, sparkles and musical notes. The back shows the main character from the waist up inside a ring, mirrored so it looks the same either way up, like the closing shot of classic cartoons. The tuck box is embossed in several colours and the interior is fully printed with five-pointed stars.
