Regalia is the deck with which magician Shin Lim launched his series of the same name. He produced it, the design is by Nick Vlow and the printing was handled by Cartamundi in Belgium. Its signature feature is the gold foil (a metallic stamp) present on every single card.

Design

Gold dominates the whole deck: each card has its own foil stamping, which Cartamundi developed and produced in its own factory for this project. The tuck box is double-layered: an outer sleeve covered in embossed gold foil protects the inner box, so the cards are doubly protected.

Manufacturing

The cards are printed on Cartamundi’s crushed stock with a linen texture; crushed means the paper is pressed during manufacturing for added flexibility, and linen is a fine embossing that resembles the weave of fabric. According to its producer, the cards faro (a shuffle in which the two halves of the deck interweave card by card) with ease.
