This deck is part of the Star Wars Silver Edition that theory11 released in collaboration with Lucasfilm. The edition is split into two decks, one for each side of the Force; this is the Dark Side deck, recognisable by its graphite-grey back and iconography centred on the Galactic Empire and the First Order.

Design

The back brings together motifs closely tied to the imperial side: Darth Vader’s lightsaber, the Death Star and the Empire’s fleet of ships. The twelve court cards (the J, Q and K of all four suits) are illustrated with characters from both sides of the saga, including Emperor Palpatine, Kylo Ren and Darth Vader himself, who takes the King of Spades, lightsaber in hand and commanding his subordinates. The Light Side deck shares the same twelve court cards; what changes between the two is the colour, the back and the box, and they were designed to work as a pair.

The tuck box features embossing and foil stamping (metallic film applied with heat). On the front is the window of the imperial Throne Room, with the emblems of the Galactic Empire and the First Order in the corners.
