Blueberry Mint 2 belongs to the second edition of Mint, the 52 Kards line of decks funded in 2018 through a crowdfunding campaign. It is a marked deck: the back includes a marking system that lets anyone who knows it identify the cards without seeing their faces, which is very useful in magic.

Design

It revives the clean-lined Mint design, printed here in a deep blue. The markings on the back are multidirectional, meaning they can be read from different angles and with the card in any orientation, and they are worked into the artwork so that they go unnoticed by the audience.

The tuck box is die-cut, with embossing and foil details (metallic foil), and is closed with a “Second Edition” seal.

Manufacturing

It is printed by the United States Playing Card Company on Bee-style casino-quality stock, crushed (pressed for added flexibility) and with an Air Cushion finish (a very fine embossing that helps the cards glide). It has a traditional cut, which makes faro shuffles easier (precisely interweaving two halves of the deck card by card).
