Description
The Hero Lock belongs to the family of Luban (or Kong Ming) locks, the assembly puzzles of Chinese tradition. At first glance it is a simple cross of fitted pieces; the challenge is discovering the exact order in which they come apart and then rebuilding it without help.
It is made of wood-look ABS plastic: it stands up well to use and drops, which matters in a puzzle that gets assembled and disassembled many times. A good entry point into mechanical puzzles, and a nice small gift too.
