Description
The Cross is a wooden burr puzzle in Professor Puzzle’s Matchbox Puzzle series, from the British puzzle brand. Its three pieces cross and hold one another in a compact cross. The aim is to separate them and then rebuild the original shape, which is usually the harder part.

How it works
A burr is a puzzle of interlocking wooden pieces that lock one another in place, so the whole thing holds together on its own, with no glue. The three-piece burr is one of the simplest forms in the family, which makes it a good way in: there are only a few pieces, but their notches are designed so that the assembly isn’t obvious.
Its small size means you can carry it around and solve it whenever you like.
What’s included
The pieces come in the series’ matchbox-style box. Nine more matchstick challenges are printed on the sides of the box to extend the fun.
