The Tracker is a Sweets Kendamas kendama designed for beginners and experienced players alike, with graphics on the tama that make it easier to follow its spin. This version is in the pale green the brand calls seafoam.

Design

A kendama is made up of a ken (handle with spike), a sarado (the piece with the side cups) and a tama (the ball). The Tracker takes its name from the graphics on the tama: large, high-contrast elements that act as a visual reference (tracking) so you can see which way the ball is spinning and where the hole is. This helps you judge spikes (landing the ball on the spike) and balance tricks better. The ken uses the Broken Shape, designed in 2025 by Sweets pro Josh Kim, with slightly larger cups, base and tama than the brand’s earlier shapes.

Finish and level

Both ken and tama are beech. The tama has Anti-Skid 2.0, a matte clear lacquer that gives grip but leaves room to adjust the ball, which is useful in tricks such as the lunar or the lighthouse, where the ken balances on the ball. Inside Sweets it was called “the new Starter”, because it was conceived as an entry-level kendama that also works for experienced players.
