Kendama USA, one of the longest-established kendama brands outside Japan, also sells its replacement strings individually. This is a white string with its bead, the same type fitted to many of the brand’s kendamas.

What it is for
The string connects the ken to the tama and wears out with use. The bead is the small piece that sits at the join with the ken and acts as a stopper. Kendama USA makes its strings from a tough, slightly stretchy nylon blend, and stiffens the tips so they are easier to thread through the holes in the ken and the sarado. It comes with plenty of length to knot it to your preferred size.
