Little Island is a limited edition deck that takes the film Shutter Island as its starting point. It is published under the Nanswer name and designed by the artist Eric Duan, who carried the story’s sense of confinement and disorientation over to the cards.

Design

The back is a maze that represents the uncertain journey across the island. The Ace of Spades shows a loop, a shape that turns back on itself and symbolises that there is no way out. The design is fully custom: illustrations, suit symbols, court cards, back and box.

Manufacturing

It is printed by The United States Playing Card Company on the same stock as Bicycle decks, so it handles just as anyone who has used that kind of deck would expect. It is a limited edition.
