F For Fulton was created to celebrate the tenth anniversary of FULTONS Playing Cards, Dan and Dave Buck’s brand, as a companion to the Clip Joint 10 deck. It is the first release in the CLUB 37 series, through which the brand pays tribute to the origins of custom playing cards.

Design

The name comes from a bar and magic club in Los Angeles which, according to the story that accompanies the brand, opened in the late seventies and was frequented by magicians from the underground scene. The back pays homage to Tom Foolery, the deck of magician Tom Mullica. The cards are burgundy and the tuck box is an adapted version of the Custom Division box once used by the United States Playing Card Company, printed in metallic gold letterpress (relief printing).

Manufacturing

The cards were printed by the United States Playing Card Company, the only printer FULTONS has ever worked with. The tuck box was printed on vintage letterpress machines at Clove St Press in San Diego, California. The print run was limited to 700 decks.
