Description
Aviator is one of the long-standing brands of the United States Playing Card Company. Its origin is linked to a tribute to Charles Lindbergh’s 1927 transatlantic flight, and it has always been positioned as an affordable alternative to Bee and Bicycle. This is the red-back version in poker size.

Design
It has a white-bordered back and standard faces. For many years the company used it as the base for custom promotional decks for businesses; that is why, until the late 1980s, the Ace of Spades and the jokers did not carry the Aviator brand.
Manufacturing
It is made by the United States Playing Card Company with a smooth finish, without the embossing found on Bicycle decks. The card stock is thinner, and you can feel it in the hand: the cards are somewhat more flexible and lighter.
