Abandoned Luxury is the personal deck of British magician Dynamo, created as a tribute to his live tour in London. This Royal Ivy Edition is inspired by one of the scenes in the show: an abandoned hotel room covered in ivy. The design is by Rick Davidson.

Design

The back shows wrought-iron gates intertwined with ivy, in metallic gold ink, and it is one-way (not symmetrical when rotated), a detail that can be put to use in magic. The whole deck combines metallic sapphire blue and gold inks. The court cards are redrawn, while the number cards keep the traditional pips, convenient for magic, and the borders are narrow so that fans look their best. The two jokers feature a golden key and the Ace of Spades highlights a window of the abandoned room. Two extra cards are added: an “Abandoned” card in tribute to the show and a “red herring” card designed to mislead during a routine.

The tuck box is matte black, with embossed gold and sapphire blue foil (metallic stamping) on every side; the flap carries a sun in gold foil.

Manufacturing

It is printed by Cartamundi on True Linen B9 Slimline paper, with a linen texture and a slightly thinner calliper than usual, giving flexible cards that fan easily.
