Jerry's Nugget decks come from a casino in North Las Vegas and have become a cult item among magicians and collectors. The originals, from 1970, spent years in storage before being sold in the casino's shop and ended up changing hands for far more than their price. The Marked Monotone series is a modern reissue licensed by the casino, and this Atomic Red version, in red, is one of its three marked editions.

Design

It keeps the look of the original casino deck, with the venue's neon sign as the back motif, printed in a single colour. It is a marked deck: the artwork itself includes discreet factory marks that let you identify the suit of each card by looking at the back, something that would be forbidden in a casino. In this edition the marks indicate only the suit; the Felt Green version also adds the value.

Manufacturing

It is printed by the United States Playing Card Company on its thin crushed Bee stock, pressed for a flexible, modern feel, and with a traditional cut. Each deck carries an individually numbered seal. The print run is limited to 4,200 units per colour, with no reprints.
