Design
The idea came about in Malta, from a 1940s cigarette packet decorated with a royal figure. Illustrator Felipe Calavanti gave it shape, aiming for the look of early 20th-century decks. The court cards are a set of redrawn antique courts, designed to make the deck comfortable to read during play. It includes an illustrated Ace of Spades and custom cards for the Joker and the Thief, the brand's regular characters, who within the artwork scheme to overthrow the King. The tuck box is also carefully crafted.
