Description
Play Dead V2 is the second instalment of one of Riffle Shuffle’s skull decks, once again designed by Steven Harrison. The first Play Dead came out in a run of 1,000 decks that was never reprinted, and this version revives the idea with a new palette.

Design
It keeps the graphic language of the original, with bold lines, geometric shapes and figures with 3D volume, but switches to a teal palette that gives it a somewhat more serious tone. The skull theme takes centre stage thanks to the combination of complementary colours and the way the lines frame it. The faces, back and tuck box are all custom, with some embossed details.
Manufacturing
It is printed by the United States Playing Card Company (USPCC) on Bee crushed stock (pressed during manufacturing for added flexibility and durability) with an Air Cushion finish (a very fine embossing that helps the cards glide).
