Description
Smoke & Mirrors is one of Dan & Dave’s longest-running series: it first appeared in 2007 and has had numerous editions since. The 1984 version, also known as the Casino Edition, was made together with Hanson Chien and revisits the series through the lens of 1980s casino decks.

Design
The idea is to bring the look of that decade’s casino decks into the graphic language of Smoke & Mirrors, with a retro feel and a contemporary treatment. This is the blue version; the edition also exists in red, as is customary with casino decks.
Manufacturing
It is an edition limited to 1,984 decks, a figure that nods to the name. The tuck box measures approximately 9.1 × 6.6 × 1.8 cm and the whole thing weighs about 104 g.
