This is the foil version of The Two Towers deck, the second in the trilogy Kings Wild Project devoted to The Lord of the Rings under official licence. The project was funded through a crowdfunding campaign that far exceeded its goal, and its design is the work of Jackson Robinson, founder of Kings Wild Project.

Design

Every card was illustrated specifically for this deck, with the characters taken from Tolkien’s text. Very familiar figures such as Gimli, Gandalf the White and Éowyn appear alongside far less common ones, such as Fimbrethil, Treebeard’s lost Entwife. The suit frames are inspired by the elements: fire, water, wind and earth.

In this edition, the cards carry gold foil details (metallic foil) and the deck comes in a book-style box with a side opening: instead of opening at the top, the lid opens from the side, like the cover of a book.

Editions

The Two Towers exists in a standard non-foil version (with a traditional tuck box), a foil version (this one) and gilded variants with gold card edges.
