Truth and Lies is a collection of decks that plays with the dual nature of deception and truth, two ideas very present in magic: the audience pays attention to the elaborate lies while the truth goes unnoticed in plain sight. Art direction is by Jason Brumbalow, with illustrations by Bobby Haiqalsyah and Lance Miller, and it is published by Murphy's Magic.

Design

The collection has three Truth decks and three Lies decks, sold separately. All share the same design within their group and differ only in the phrase embossed on the box; this one carries “I Never Believe Me” blind-embossed, that is, raised without ink. The Truth decks use dark tones and the Lies decks a lighter look.

Faces and backs are fully original. The back has a black background with a light blue diamond pattern and a white border; the black suits are printed in black and the red suits in a light greyish blue, and the court cards combine gold, blue, black and white. The Ace of Spades is built from words of different sizes, with “TRUTH” in large letters.
