Virtuoso is the deck brand of The Virts, a very well-known collective in cardistry (the art of performing flourishes and eye-catching moves with cards). The P1 was its first special edition and launched the Perspective series, in which each deck rethinks some element of Virtuoso’s classic design.

Design

In this edition, the central circle that characterises Virtuoso backs also moves onto the faces, so that both sides of the card are visually linked. Around that circle, the suit symbols have been redrawn as brightly coloured geometric icons that form increasingly large clusters. No face repeats, so the deck changes its look with every fan or flourish.

The tuck box is simpler than those of other Virtuoso decks, with minimalist lines, but it keeps the brand’s hallmarks.

Manufacturing

It is printed by the United States Playing Card Company on Crushed Casino stock (casino quality, crushed for added flexibility and durability), with a traditional cut. It was released as a very limited edition.
