Description
Breakthrough is a deck by designer Emily Sleights (emilysleights52) built around one idea: the personal growth that sometimes comes after a difficult period. That idea is summed up in the image on the back, a sunflower sprouting through a broken light bulb.

- Contents52 cards + 2 jokers (one a reveal card), a double-backer and a duplicate 8 of Clubs
Design
The shattered bulb represents dark moments, and the sunflower, with its bright colours, joy and the ability to come out stronger. The back is reversible (it looks the same both ways round) and is surrounded by a decorative frame. The court cards are the classic ones with the colours changed, and the Ace of Spades is an original design. One of the two jokers is prepared as a reveal card, that is, designed to be shown as the finale of a magic effect.
Manufacturing
It is printed by the United States Playing Card Company on classic Bicycle card stock, with an Air Cushion finish (a very fine embossing that helps the cards glide and fan evenly).
