The Jerry's Nugget decks come from the Las Vegas casino of the same name, which in 1970 ordered a print run for its tables from the United States Playing Card Company. Those cards stayed in storage for years and eventually became a cult item among magicians and collectors. This Gilded Vintage Feel edition reproduces the design in a black palette, with painted edges.

Design

It keeps the original back with the casino tower, here on a black background, which gives the deck a more contemporary feel. It also keeps the original jokers and Ace of Spades. The tuck box reproduces period details: a long flap, a red pull strip and an off-centre seal, in this case numbered.

Manufacturing

It is made by Expert Playing Card Company with its JN finish, developed to come close to the feel of the 1970 decks, on a firmer card stock than that of the Modern Feel versions. The cards have a traditional cut, the one used on old decks and preferred by many magicians for the faro shuffle (interweaving the two halves card by card). The edges are gilded, with a layer of colour applied to the edges of the stack of cards, in black.
