Asura Deluxe Blue is the blue variant of the Deluxe edition of Asura, a deck produced by Card Experiment. Its theme is the realm of the asuras in Hindu and Buddhist cosmology, linked to ideas such as desire, conflict and ambition, and it expands the Classic edition with metallic finishes.

Design

The artwork combines the usual structure of a poker deck with iconography inspired by that mythology. Faces and back carry gold cold foil (a metallic film applied without heat that allows very fine lines), so the details catch the light as you tilt the cards. The box, a Fan of Display type so it can be shown off, is made of cotton paper with black and gold hot stamping and 3D embossing.

Manufacturing

It is printed on 330 gsm German card stock with a black core (a dark inner layer that prevents seeing through the card) and a smooth, soft surface. The edges are gilded with foil, as is common in editions made for collecting.
