The Cherry Casino Black Hawk is the black version of the Cherry Casino series, which the publisher presented as V3 True Black. The Cherry Casino series, from Pure Imagination Projects, is inspired by the decks of the old Las Vegas casinos. Its back, designed by Sam Devins, is simple and symmetrical, with a cherry in each corner. The idea is the same as in the classic decks of casinos such as Jerry's Nugget: a clean back that works for both play and magic.

Design

The back has a black background, with the cherry and details in metallic red ink. The faces are the standard ones of a poker deck, unmodified, something many magicians appreciate because the deck does not draw attention on the index side. The tuck box is black front and back, with little branding on show.

Manufacturing

It is printed by the United States Playing Card Company (USPCC) on Bee stock with a crushed treatment (the stock is pressed during manufacturing so the cards come out thinner and more flexible from the first use). Bee stock is thinner than that of other decks from the same printer, which you notice when shuffling and fanning.
