Grid Series Six (GS6) is the sixth deck in designer Luke Wadey's Grid series, known for replacing traditional symbols and illustrations with typographic compositions. After the fifth instalment, in monochrome tones, this edition focuses on colour with a neon orange ink.

Design

Like the rest of the series, it shows the value of each card through layout and typography instead of suit symbols and illustrated court cards, with a clear Swiss design influence. Deconstructed 3D graphics are combined with Wadey's signature details on the court cards, and the faces can be read in several ways. The one-way back covers the whole surface with an interrupted border inspired by the Bauhaus and Swiss design. Under ultraviolet light, the neon ink becomes more intense. The tuck box follows the graphic style of the Grid series.

Manufacturing

It is made by WJPC on 300 g/m² German black core paper (a paper with a black inner layer that adds opacity and firmness) with a linen finish, a fine woven texture that helps the cards glide.
