Jerry's Nugget is a North Las Vegas casino whose 1970 decks, sold years later in its gift shop, ended up highly sought after by magicians and collectors. Marked Monotone is a modern series produced under licence from the casino, and Icy Blue is the light blue edition, one of the three that carry factory marks.

Design

The back keeps the motif of the original casino deck, the venue's neon sign, printed in a single shade of blue. The difference from a normal deck is that the design incorporates discreet marks that let you tell the suit of each card from behind; that is precisely why this type of deck is not allowed in casinos. In Icy Blue the marks indicate the suit; only the Felt Green edition also marks the value.

Manufacturing

They are printed by the United States Playing Card Company on thin crushed Bee stock, a pressed paper that gives flexible, modern handling, with a traditional cut. Each copy carries its own numbered seal and the print run is limited to 4,200 decks per colour, with no reprints planned.
