The NOC Luxury Collection is a collaboration between Riffle Shuffle and The House of Playing Cards that takes the minimalist design of NOC decks into a luxury version. Its second edition, funded on Kickstarter in 2021, was released in three main colours: Ruby (red), Sapphire (blue) and Emerald, which is this green version.

Design

The back is entirely covered in foil (metallic stamping) and its design is one-way, meaning you can tell if a card has been turned around. The court cards, Ace of Spades and jokers match the colour of the back; the two jokers carry the medallion with the NOC logo. The tuck box, made of 300 g glossy Italian paper, has four levels of embossing and two hot foil stampings in German Kurz foil; the inside is also metallic. It is closed with a hand-applied numbered foil seal, with a perforated edge for easy opening.

Manufacturing

It is printed by Cartamundi with its cold foil technique (a metallic effect applied during printing that makes it possible to cover the entire back) on Slimline stock, thinner than usual, with a B9 True Linen finish (a linen texture that helps the cards glide). The print run was limited to 7,500 decks per colour, with no reprint.

Marked deck

It uses the same marking system as the NOC Pro, which lets you identify the suit and value of each card from the back. It includes a duplicate Queen of Hearts and a card with a blank face, both useful in magic.
