Description
In 2019 theory11 launched two Star Wars decks, Light Side and Dark Side, to coincide with the release of The Rise of Skywalker, the ninth film in the Skywalker saga. This is the Dark Side version, in red, focusing on the Galactic Empire, the First Order and the Sith.

Design
The red back is packed with detail: the Death Star and the insignia of the First Order, the Sith and the Empire. In the centre, a repeating pattern of TIE fighters is flanked on both sides by Darth Vader’s lightsaber. The Light Side and Dark Side decks share the same 12 court cards, with characters from both sides; from the dark side come Palpatine, Kylo Ren and Darth Vader, among others. The King of Spades shows Vader wielding his lightsaber and commanding his imperial troops.
Tuck box
The tuck box features embossing and foil stamping (metallic stamping). On the front you can see a window of the imperial throne room, with the symbols of the Galactic Empire and the First Order in the corners.
Manufacturing
It is made in the United States on FSC-certified paper (from sustainably managed forests), with plant-based inks and starch-based laminates.
