Description
The Jerry's Nugget is one of the decks with the richest history in the world of card magic. This Royal Purple version belongs to the Modern Feel line, a reissue of the original design with a contemporary feel, and it came out of a collaboration between Penguin Magic, the Jerry's Nugget casino and Expert Playing Card Company.

A bit of history
In 1970 the Jerry's Nugget casino in Las Vegas commissioned its own deck, which was printed in Cincinnati. The cases spent years in storage without ever being used at the tables and ended up being sold in the casino shop for a token price. Over time, their distinctive handling made them coveted by magicians and collectors, and original copies now fetch very high prices on the second-hand market. In 2019 Expert Playing Card Company and the casino revived the design in two variants: one with a vintage feel and another, Modern Feel, with a contemporary finish.
Design
It keeps the classic back with the oil derrick from the casino’s car park sign, here on an intense purple. It includes the deck’s classic Ace of Spades and its jokers.
Manufacturing
It is printed by the United States Playing Card Company on thin crushed card stock (crushed, more flexible and consistent) with a “magic”-type finish. It has a traditional cut, the classic cutting method that many magicians prefer for performing faro shuffles (interweaving the two halves of the deck card by card) consistently.
