Hudson is a theory11 deck that pays tribute to an old playing card factory on the banks of the Hudson River in New York. That company, whose origins date back to 1856, went on to produce thousands of decks and was considered a benchmark for poker players and family games, until it disappeared around 1871 with the rise of the New York Consolidated Card Company. theory11 takes up the name with a completely new design.

Design

The style is understated and detailed, with a classic feel that suits the history it evokes. The back is an original creation, and both the Ace of Spades and the joker have custom illustrations. The rest of the cards keep standard faces, so they read as easily as any traditional deck. The tuck box follows the same theme.

Manufacturing

It is designed and made in the USA. It is printed at the United States Playing Card Company (USPCC) with an Air Cushion finish, a very fine embossing on the surface that helps the cards separate and glide smoothly when shuffling or fanning.
