Vigor is a minimalist deck created by the cardist Alvin Herp and the designer and magician Edo Huang, and produced by the Taiwanese studio Bomb Magic Studio (Bombmagic). The idea was a simple, practical design that would invite you to shuffle and handle the cards with energy, hence the name. This Blue Edition is the blue version of the original deck, which was also Alvin Herp’s first own design.

Design

It keeps the approach of the first Vigor, with custom faces and clean graphics free of distracting elements, and switches the palette to blue. The publishers stress that they did not just change the colour, but took the opportunity to improve the stock.

Manufacturing

It is printed by the Taiwan Playing Card Company. For this edition they moved to a thinner, softer card stock, which the brand calls “Luxury”, while keeping the Royal Finish (this printer’s surface treatment, which helps the cards glide over one another). Compared with the red edition, it is described as having a less “oily” feel, without losing any ease in fanning or forming packets.
