Description
Talons, also known as Talons Alliance, is an Ellusionist deck released in 2017. Its theme is lightning: it appears on the back, the court cards and the jokers, in a mix of retro-style illustration and contemporary design.

Design
The symmetrical back shows an owl holding a lightning bolt, an image the publisher associates with the power and control that come with experience. The court cards are crossed by electric-blue lightning and feature details in the deck’s signature orange. The Ace of Spades and jokers are custom, while the number cards keep the traditional suits so the audience recognises the cards instantly. The matching tuck box is a vivid orange with a glossy finish.
Manufacturing
It is printed by the United States Playing Card Company (USPCC) on soft-feel crushed stock (a pressing that leaves the card thinner and more flexible).
