The Pocket Disc Indoor El Fuego is a fabric flying disc crocheted by hand in cotton in Guatemala by Mayan artisans. The Indoor version is the brand’s softest: its loose weave makes it light and gentle, designed for playing indoors and with small children without worrying about knocks or breakages.

How it’s made
The disc is crocheted by hand in cotton and has a reinforced rim all the way round, which concentrates a little weight at the edge and makes it easier to hold for throwing. The idea came about by chance: one of the founders tossed a crocheted coaster, made by a friend’s daughter, across the room and discovered that it flew thanks to the small rim around its edge.
It is made by fair-trade cooperatives in Guatemala; because it is handmade, each piece has small differences in weave and colour.
Indoor or Sports
The Indoor edition is crocheted more loosely so that it is soft on heads and on homes, as the maker itself puts it. It is the right choice for hallways, living rooms and small children. For throwing long distances outdoors or in the wind, the denser, heavier Sports edition flies more steadily. It folds up and fits in a pocket or a rucksack.
