The QiYi Warrior 6x6 M UV is the best-equipped version of the 6x6 in the Warrior series: to the compact, affordable base cube it adds a two-level magnetic system and a UV coating that gives the pieces a glossy finish.

How it works

The magnets pull the pieces in as they approach the aligned position, so each layer tends to stay in place. Here they are split across two levels: 120 in the outer layers and 72 in the inner ones, with radial positioning in the middle layers. On a 6x6, where reduction means turning many inner layers, that help on the inside makes the turning more precise.

Design and finish

It shares the series’ base: a one-piece core, widened outer layers, anti-stick grooves in the pieces and rounded corners with generous cuts on the outside and more restrained ones on the inside. It is stickerless (no stickers: the colour is in the plastic itself). The UV coating is a glossy layer that adds grip and protects the plastic from scratches. At about 140 g it is slightly heavier than the non-magnetic version.
