The QiYi Sail 7x7 is the classic version of QiYi’s budget 7x7: black plastic pieces with coloured stickers on the faces, instead of the coloured plastic of the stickerless versions. It is sold as the black variant alongside the Warrior 7x7, the base of the same range.

Design
It is a non-magnetic cube with stable, smooth turning, aimed at anyone starting out on the 7x7 or solving it occasionally. The alignment of the layers depends on the mechanism and the tension of the screws.
Black with stickers or stickerless
A black base with stickers is the traditional presentation of the Rubik’s cube and gives plenty of contrast between colours. The stickers can wear or lift with heavy use and can be replaced over time; anyone who prefers the colour in the plastic itself can find the same range in a stickerless version.
What level it suits
A 7x7 has 218 visible pieces and is solved by reduction: centres and edges are grouped until the cube behaves like a 3x3. It suits anyone who can already solve the 5x5 or 6x6 and wants to try the format on an affordable cube.
