The Play Pocket is the pocket kendama from Kendama Europe, the German brand behind the Play series. It is a miniature version of the Play Pro II that is still big enough to do the same tricks as with a normal kendama. Meadow is one of the six designs in the series.

Design

The Pocket keeps the three parts of a kendama: the ken (handle with spike), the sarado (the piece with the two side cups) and the tama (the ball). Its appeal lies in its size: it fits in a pocket or rucksack and lets you practise anywhere. The tama has the brand’s Grip II paint, a slightly tacky finish that helps the ball stay put in balance tricks while still allowing small adjustments.

What level is it for?

Kendama Europe does not recommend it as a first kendama: being smaller, everything is more precise and demanding, and several users describe it as difficult at first. It is better suited as a second kendama for players who have already mastered the basics, or as an extra for practising away from home.
