The Plush Performance Model is the step up from the Competition Model in the Royal Kendama range. It keeps the same base and adds tougher paint with a special coating, designed for players who already practise regularly. This one combines red and white.

Design

Royal Kendama was developed in collaboration with The Void, the first Western player to reach 5th dan and a two-time British Open champion. Its shape is considered very close to that of the classic Japanese TK-16 in balance, weight and proportions, and the Competition Model is one of the few models approved by the British Kendama Association for grading exams and competitions. Like every kendama, it consists of a ken (handle with spike), a sarado (the piece with the side cups) and a tama (the ball).

What level is it for?

What sets the Plush apart is its finish: a more durable paint that stands up better to knocks and a feel designed to give a little more control in balance tricks, spikes and catches. It suits both learners and intermediate players who want a traditionally shaped kendama with better paint.
