Krom Kendama, the Copenhagen brand founded by freestyle world champion Thorkild May, sells its own replacement kendama strings. This set is for replacing the string when it wears out or breaks.

What it is for
The string connects the ken to the tama and is the part that wears the most: with use it frays or snaps. Krom makes its strings longer than most players need, so that everyone can cut and knot them to the length they prefer. Changing the string also lets you move it to the other side of the ken (for left- or right-handed play) or try a new colour.
