The Avengers Blue Edition is one of the colour variants of the deck theory11 dedicated to Marvel Studios’ Infinity Saga, the cycle of films running from Iron Man (2008) to Avengers: Endgame. It keeps the illustrations of the original edition and changes the dominant colour of the box to a blue with a metallic sheen.

Design

All the artwork is custom: back, faces, tuck box, aces and jokers were designed specifically for this deck. The court cards feature, among others, Thor and Hulk in their Ragnarok costumes, Hawkeye alongside his Ronin persona (with a small nod to Ant-Man), Iron Man with his nanotech gauntlet, Captain Marvel, Black Panther, Spider-Man and Captain America. The four aces hide references to Doctor Strange, Vision, the Winter Soldier and Gamora, and the two jokers are reserved for Loki and Thanos.

In this version, the outer box combines blue foil, which shifts in tone depending on the angle, with gold accents and embossing.

Manufacturing

theory11 makes these cards in the United States with FSC-certified paper (from sustainably managed forests), plant-based inks and starch-based laminates. The outer box features embossing and gold foil (metallic stamping) details.
