The Bicycle Quiccs OG Black brings the Bulletpunk universe of the artist Quiccs to a deck. Quiccs is a Filipino artist from Mandaluyong who works in graffiti, murals, graphic design and collectible toys; his Bulletpunk universe, led by the character TEQ63, blends Japanese mecha aesthetics, hip-hop and street art. This edition pays tribute to TEQ63’s original colourway, the one that started his whole universe.

Design

The tuck box is textured with gold accents, with details for collectors such as the number “63”, referring to the Philippines, and the three dots that appear on many of his toys. On the back it reproduces the card back: a symmetrical close-up of TEQ63 full of mechanical detail, presented as if it were a technical drawing.

The court cards (J, Q and K) show TEQ63, Mariko and Ghost of Kurosawa in four of their best-known colourways: OG Black, OG Blue, OG Red and Manila Killa, one per suit. The number cards have redesigned suits with a mechanical look, and the 6 and 3 of each suit together form a continuous illustration, alluding to “63”. The jokers are dedicated to Ravager, a corrupted clone of TEQ63, and the two extra cards make up a graffiti piece drawn by Quiccs.

Manufacturing

It is printed by the United States Playing Card Company under official Bicycle licence, on the brand’s classic card stock with an Air-Cushion finish, a very fine embossing that helps the cards glide when shuffling. Production is handled by RunIt Decks in collaboration with the artist.
