Enchanter is a themed deck set in an imaginary witches' academy. It comes in two versions, Day and Night, which show the same school at different times; this is the Day version, recognisable by the white background of the faces. Its most striking feature is that it does away with the classic suits and replaces them with magical objects.

Design

The four usual suits (spades, hearts, diamonds and clubs) are replaced by wizard hats, spellbooks, jack-o'-lanterns and crystal balls; on the number cards these symbols appear in a simplified form. The twelve court cards depict twelve witches spread across three factions of the academy: the Elemental faction on the jacks, linked to wind, water, fire and earth; the Celestial Secret faction on the queens, associated with gifts such as clairvoyance or mind reading; and the Natural faction on the kings, tied to the four seasons. Each suit corresponds to one of those abilities within its faction.

The two jokers show the founders of the academy. The back brings together buildings from that magical world drawn in a 360-degree spherical perspective, and the faces carry a band in the middle of the long edge that creates a visual effect when you fan the cards. The tuck box, dominated by purple, shows a mysterious sky with two witches in robes and features lines of hot stamping (a metallic finish applied with heat and pressure).
