The MetalLuxe Crimson V2 is a variant of the Bicycle Rider Back, the brand’s classic deck, in which the back has been stamped with real metal in a crimson red shade. It is part of the MetalLuxe line, which the United States Playing Card Company has released in several colours, such as cobalt blue, green, gold, silver and orange.

Design

It keeps the traditional Rider Back design, the one with the cyclist, but the metallic treatment gives it a shine and intensity of colour that the ink-printed version lacks. The box is also carefully finished, with foil details (metallic stamping) and a debossed texture.

Manufacturing

MetalLuxe technology, exclusive to the United States Playing Card Company, stamps real metal onto the back of each card and then protects it with a proprietary coating before applying the Air Cushion finish (a very fine embossing that helps the cards glide). The aim is that, despite the metallic treatment, the card keeps the same flexibility and durability as a regular Bicycle Rider Back. It is made in the USA.
