Description
Samurai Otter is a series of decks from Bloom, a small Tokyo-based brand, produced by the studio Room One Cards and released in 2024. Its main character is an otter dressed as a samurai. Hono is the standard red edition; the series is completed by Mizu (blue) and two limited special editions, Indigo Ronin and Scarlet Bushido.

Design
The series’ signature is its multicolour foil (metallic stamping): instead of a single shade, as is usual, the artwork on every card carries foil in several colours. In this edition the dominant colour on the back is red, in keeping with its name, which in Japanese refers to fire. The tuck box features embossing and foil details.
Manufacturing
It is made with cold foil, a technique that applies the metallic film during printing without the need for heat, making it possible to combine several shades on the same card.
