Design
Each of the 54 cards is a different piece of art, with its own story. The idea comes from old transformation decks, in which the suit symbols are worked into the illustration. The result mixes classical art with work by contemporary illustrators, with a slightly macabre edge. The back is elaborate and printed in raised black ink and gold foil.
Manufacturing
The tuck box is highly detailed, with embossed elements and foil accents. Each deck is packed by hand and closed with a vintage-style tax stamp seal. According to the distributor, the most recent print runs also have gold edges.
