A poker deck from Fournier, the playing card maker from Vitoria, made entirely of plastic and with jumbo indices (the numbers and letters in the corners, here much larger than usual). This is the blue-back version. The EPT reference refers to the European Poker Tour, the tournament circuit for which Fournier has supplied its plastic cards.

Design

The face keeps the classic layout of a poker deck, but the indices take up a good part of the corner: they are around 3 cm tall, so the value and suit can be read at a glance, even with the cards barely lifted from the table. The back is blue; there is also a red-back version, useful if you want to alternate two decks in the same game.

Manufacturing

Being 100% plastic (PVC), the cards withstand bending, stains and moisture better than card stock, and return to shape after flexing without creasing. That is why this material is the standard in card rooms and tournaments, where a single deck goes through hundreds of deals.
