Design

The court cards (J, Q and K) were drawn specifically for this edition and feature princesses such as Snow White, Cinderella, Ariel, Belle, Aurora, Jasmine, Mulan, Rapunzel, Tiana, Merida and Moana. The whole deck revolves around navy blue, with Disney-themed illustrations spread across the cards. The front of the tuck box shows the Disney castle, with gold and holographic foil details (foil: a metallic film hot-stamped onto the board).

Manufacturing

It is made by the United States Playing Card Company, the American company that owns Bicycle, in poker size and with the brand’s Air Cushion finish, a very fine embossing on the surface that helps the cards separate and glide easily when shuffling. According to the distributor, the paper comes from FSC-certified fibres (responsible forest management) and is recyclable.
