Description
The Magic Notebook is a series of decks from Bocopo Playing Card Company conceived as a tribute to Dai Vernon, the influential magician nicknamed “The Professor”, who championed magic that was as clean and natural as possible. This is the green version of the series, which has been released in several colours with the same understated approach.

Design
The back follows a minimalist line: a single-colour background framed by a decorative border, with no busy illustrations. The faces are standard, with the familiar indices and court cards, which fits Vernon’s idea that the deck should not draw attention to itself. In the documented editions of the series, the tuck box includes a well-known quote from Vernon himself.
Manufacturing
The series is printed by the United States Playing Card Company (USPCC) in Bee Casino quality, the range the printer uses for casino decks. These are limited print runs: according to published information on the series, each colour was limited to 1,200 decks.
