Jerry's Nugget is one of the casino decks most sought after by magicians and collectors. The Las Vegas casino commissioned it from the United States Playing Card Company around 1970 for its tables, but never actually used it: the boxes spent years in storage and were later sold as souvenirs in the casino shop. Its fame grew until it sold out in the late nineties, which gave rise to counterfeits and, later, to licensed reissues. This is the Vintage Feel version in orange.

Design

It reproduces the back and faces of the original design, with the casino’s well-known tower as the central motif. Orange is one of the colours added to mark the casino’s 50th anniversary, and it makes the tower stand out strongly.

Manufacturing

The Vintage Feel reissue is produced by Expert Playing Card Company, in collaboration with Jerry's Nugget and the distributor Murphy's Magic. It uses a limited batch of Vintage Feel stock, a traditional cut (the classic die-cut, valued by those who perform faro shuffles, that is, precisely interweaving the two halves) and the exclusive JN finish, a slightly firmer card stock that aims to imitate the feel of the 1970 decks.
